WHAT IS A SERVICE AT HARVEST LIKE?


It is our desire to be a life changing church that will encourage every person to encounter the living God! Our service begins with contemporary energetic worship, led by a band. Most people stand during this time, however, there is complete freedom to be seated if you prefer. The words of all of the songs are projected onto a screen at the front of the sanctuary. Our hope is that you will encounter Jesus through the message of the songs and that you will be able to effectively express your heart to Him through singing.

Harvest is also big on providing practical Bible messages that help you understand God and deal with real life issues. We’ll even give you a clear outline with the main points and Bible verses on the screen. It is our desire to provide you with messages from God’s Word that can transform your life by applying what you learn during the week.

As our guest, we only ask that you take a few moments to complete an online Connection Card during the service. The Connection Card is used to help us get to know you a bit. It is a place where you can request information, ask for prayer or just indicate your presence with us. Our primary purpose for the Connection Card is to pray for you – our leadership takes care in ensuring utmost confidence with your information. You won’t be asked to stand or raise your hand (or anything else embarrassing) just because you’re new. Nor will you have to recite anything or kneel at certain times during the service.

Like most churches we take an offering in our service. If you are a guest, please do not feel obligated to participate in the offering. This is intended for our regular attendees who consider Harvest their church home.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?


At Harvest Bible Chapel we focus on the heart more than the outward appearance. When you come to one of our weekend services, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles from as casual as jeans or shorts, to as formal as suits and dresses. However, most people find themselves somewhere in the middle.

We do ask that people wear clothing that does not draw attention to themselves. We think that what you wear to church should not detract from the worship experience of others around you. We really want all of the attention to go to Jesus Christ.
